The right pump for your water garden needs
Fountain, dirty water, low-voltage – the list goes on. With all the different types of pond pumps, sometimes it’s difficult to work out exactly which pump you need.
We have put together an easy guide for you to work out exactly which pump you need to meet your requirements.
Choosing the right pump
Pumps for ponds
You should always bear in mind that a pump being installed in a fish pond must have a pre-filter. If a pre-filter is not used, warranty may be voided as a result of the excess wear on the pump unit.
Pumps for waterfalls
Try simulating a flow of water over your waterfall with a garden hose, with someone adjusting the tap until the desired effect is achieved.
