This March, we interviewed Ryan Sloan, our Oil & Gas Procurement Specialist.
Q. Explain your role at ADG – what is it that you’re really good at?
A. My role at ADG is as Account Manager in the procurement division. I am the Oil & Gas specialist. I take care of our Oil & Gas clients such as Maersk, Schlumberger, Ensco, Songa Offshore and A.P Moller (Maersk’s parent company and shipping arm).
My role in a nutshell is to service my clients’ requirements, from sourcing and quoting on any sort of equipment through to assisting in all facets of logistics. They rely on me to ensure that the correct equipment is sent to the clients on time, in full, every time.

After the Indaba in Cape Town, I stayed in Africa to visit clients and suppliers around the continent. I found that optimism was still alive in certain sectors, whilst others did not paint such a positive picture.
