M-I SWACO manufactures and markets a complete line of high-speed, variable-speed and fully variable-speed decanting centrifuges for handling drilling fluids.
Ruggedly built for oilfield and industrial service, they are especially effective in meeting fluid-on-cuttings discharge requirements in environmentally sensitive areas. They also deliver high fluid recovery rates and efficient solids control to significantly reduce the operator’s total fluids cost and limit waste disposal volumes.
In weighted drilling fluid systems, decanting centrifuges recover as much as 95% of barite, which is returned to the active system, while also discarding finer, lower-gravity solids. In chemically enhanced dewatering systems, centrifuges significantly reduce liquid discharge volumes and appreciably enhance total solids control system efficiency.
